The architect Le Corbusier is famous for saying, “A house is a machine for living in – the home should be the treasure chest of living.”
Our mission with Housing Specification is to provide a platform not only for understanding the intricacies of that machine (ie: the components and products with which it is put together) but also how that treasure chest is designed and visions realised to produce better results. We are both forum and catalyst for legislation, regulations, agendas and the inter-reactions of those involved in building.
We absorb news and we comment. We embrace private sector and public sector, new build and refurbishment, and the life span from first time buyer to last time buyer.
Importantly, we recognise, reflect and discuss the role of housing and its contribution within society, to the environment and for man’s enjoyment of living. |
